Dance Lessons at Little Red Studio!

We are very excited to bring in Daniela Maurie to teach social dancing here at
Little Red Studio!

Offering classes in general social dancing as well as Argentine Tango -
the evening will conclude with an open practice time for all students and others to come enjoy from 9-11PM.

ARGENTINE TANGO 101

Mondays July 6, 13, 20, 27 @ 7PM
Cost for all 4 sessions: $35

Forget what you’ve seen in ballroom dancing; this is not that tango. Argentine Tango 101 will introduce you to the fierce and passionate, even obsessive, world of the tango as it was developed in Argentina. Ranging from simplistic walking movements & fluid turns to wild kicks, lifts & drops, the Argentine tango can take on any characteristic a
dancer chooses. Its only limit is one’s imagination, making it a truly versatile and addictive dance. In this beginning course, you will learn the fundamental patterns you need to move around the floor. Besides foot patterns, attention will also be given to:

• Lead & Follow - how to dance comfortably and confidently with another person.
• Floorcraft - how to maneuver around a crowded dance floor.
• Timing – how to interpret the music as you dance.
• Technique – how to execute the unique styling of the dance.
• Improvisation - how to make the dance your own and not be dependent on “steps.”
