Note: Our Little Red Day Spa is located at 1506 Franklin Ave E. in Seattle, WA.  See our Spa page for more details...

Do I have to come with a partner to enjoy the Little Red studio?

No.  Our performances are structured such that anyone, regardless of orientation or partnering, can participate in the interactive parts of the evening.  Most of our guests do come with a friend or partner.  We always have several solo men and women and they definitely have a lot of fun, too.  The troupe is made up of about 40 people who are constantly mingling, conversing, dancing with guests and generally making merry.

Is the Little Red Studio a good place to meet people?

Yes, Little Red Studio is as much about community as it is about art.  One of our goals is to create an inclusive and inspiring environment that encourages people to enjoy sensuality and the erotic as an end unto itself.  Please note that “cruising” is discouraged, as our performances are not “action” or “play” parties.

What happens at the Little Red Studio?

The Little Red Studio performances are always changing due to the generative nature of the artists and performers of the troupe.  There is always a broad mix of types of performances.  Little Red Studio is not a typical theater experience, in many ways. The acts are often independent of each other.  The division between audience and performers is often blurred during such activities as the body painting and costuming parts of the evening and during the times when we turn the stage into a dance floor so everyone can have a chance to dance, if they wish.  You may see skits, poetry, dance, mime, performance yoga and many other splendid wonders.

Does Little Red Studio perform anywhere else?

Yes, occasionally, we do performances outside of Hengst Studio for special events and make guest appearances.  Performances outside of Seattle are infrequent, at this point in time.  Joining our newsletter email list is the best way to be kept informed of all Little Red Studio appearances.

How often do you perform?

Our schedule varies from month to month - please feel free to check out our upcoming dates here!

How big is the troupe?  Is it a standard cast, or is it a revolving cast?

The Little Red Studio is comprised of over 100 artists and performers, all of whom are volunteers.  The cast of each performance is based on each person’s availability, so that there are, on average, 30-40 troupe members present for each show.  There will always be familiar and new faces at Little Red Studio.

How can I get involved as a troupe member or guest artist?

If you are interested in becoming involved in the Studio in some way, whether as a performer or technician or helping us with hospitality - we would love to talk with you.  We require you to experience at least one of our shows as a guest before coming on as a volunteer of any kind.  From there it's just a matter of letting us know you're interested.  You can e-mail or call us anytime (206) 328-4758 for more information.

Do you serve alcohol?

We are pleased to offer a no-host wine bar supplied by Serafina Restaurant for all of our events.  Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.

Do you serve food?

On some nights, we do serve a dessert, and there are complimentary light hors d'oeuvre available to nibble on throughout the evening.  We highly recommend the restaurant Serafina for dinner before the show, which is about a mile from the studio.  More information about Serafina can be found at: http://www.serafinaseattle.com/

We also offer a wonderful event called the Sensual Repast.  This is a dinner experience and is a lovely and intimate evening led by our own Chef, Kim Black.  See the Season schedule for upcoming dates.

When should I arrive?

Unless specified otherwise, doors open at 8:30pm and the show officially starts at 9:00pm.  Due to the progressive nature of the show, we require that all guests arrive by 9pm.  Please do not be late, as we do not let late-comers join the festivities, unless prior arrangements have been made.

How should I dress?

We encourage our guests to have fun with their clothing at our events.  You'll see anything from semi-formal to crazy costumes to things slinky and alluring.  For our colored shows, dressing in the themed color is recommended, but not mandatory.  Most of all, dress to feel sexy, fun and creative!
